Visit the Albany County Department of Social Services at 162 Washington Avenue, Monday through Friday from 8:30AM-4:00PM to apply for a shelter bed.
Need shelter after hours or on weekends? Call the Homeless and Travelers Aid Society from 4:00PM-12:00AM on weekdays and all day on weekends/holidays at (518) 463-2124.
Safe Haven (Code Blue)
Open seasonally from 4:30PM-8:30AM November 15 through March 31.
No referral needed – come to Safe Haven located at 26 South Swan Street in Albany during our open hours.

Albany Housing
IPH offers affordable and supportive housing for individuals and families with a history of homelessness, where at least one member of the household has a disability or disabling condition.
How to Apply – All housing units are accessed through Albany County’s Coordinated Entry system. Get a Coordinated Entry application at any of these IPH locations:
