IPH’s year-round emergency shelter provides a safe and supportive setting for 30 homeless adults each night. In addition to temporary shelter, guests receive individualized, supportive case management services that focus on removing barriers to housing stability and addressing self-identified needs and goals.

Sister Mavis Jewell Medical Respite
Sister Mavis Jewell Medical Respite provides emergency shelter and a safe transition of care for homeless individuals being discharged from hospitals and leaving emergency rooms. Medical Respite provides intensive care coordination and case management services, focused on addressing social determinants of health and linking individuals to healthcare providers, community resources, and housing.

Morton Avenue
Emergency Shelter
IPH's Morton Avenue Emergency Shelter offers 11 beds for single adults and provides case management services, shelter and meals. The program was previously run by St. Peter's Health Partners and has recently been transferred to IPH.
IPH will continue to operate the program with support of
St. Peter's vital services.

Danielle's House
The only program of its kind in Montgomery County which offers a mix of emergency, transitional, and permanent housing. Between November and April, the first floor provides 8 seasonal emergency shelter beds for adults and families who are homeless. Year-round, the second and third floors contain single room occupancy units that provide permanent housing for homeless individuals.

Safe Haven is a unique seasonal emergency shelter that provides safe, supportive overnight shelter, between November and April, for homeless adults who are unable to access any other form of shelter and who would otherwise be staying in places not meant for human habitation, including parks, cars, and abandoned buildings.

Ahana House
Ahana House is a licensed 17 bed Adult home for homeless males and females. Staff assist with case and medication management, personal care needs and other supportive services that are necessary for our residents to live as independently as possible. Ahana House is handicap accessible. Ahana House is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week for the safety of our residents.

Community Based Programs
Community Connections
Community Connections offers a supportive, flexible setting where community members can easily access a variety of services, including food and meals, clothing, laundry, showers, lockers, mailboxes, case management, and housing assistance. Community partners come onsite monthly to provide access to their services, making the program a convenient and accessible resource to address many needs.

Employment Program

This employment program provides a unique opportunity for homeless or formerly homeless people to develop or enhance their skillset in preparation for the job market. Ambassadors are able to earn an income and build a reputable work history while receiving support from IPH. Partnering with local businesses, Ambassadors are responsible for greeting patrons, answering questions, and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.
Healthy Connections
Healthy Connections sponsored by MVP provides a safe, easily accessible, and confidential place to receive a variety of health-focused services, including onsite physical exams, first aid, disease testing, illness management and assistance with medical referrals. Homeless or low-income patients have quick access to nursing staff for non-emergent health conditions, preventing overuse of emergency rooms and other emergency services.

Housing Services
Housing Program
With over 40 housing units, IPH Housing provides affordable, permanent, supportive housing to homeless individuals and families with disabilities, including those living with severe and persistent mental illness, chronic substance use, chronic illness, or physical impairments. All tenants receive ongoing, person-centered supportive case management services that focus on long-term stability and self-sufficiency.
