IPH Opens Doors to volunteers looking to support our mission.
By providing meals, essential items, and other services, volunteers bring warmth and energy that inspire hope for all the guests we serve.

Provide a Meal

Grab your favorite recipe and prepare a meal for shelter guests to enjoy. Home cooked meals keep our guests energized and prepared for the day ahead. Not so hot in the kitchen? Arranging a takeout or catering order with your favorite restaurant works just as well! To see our meal donation guidelines, please click here.

Collect items that our guests use every day. Having critical items such as hygiene products, cleaning supplies, and linens in stock is important, especially as we head into the winter season.

Check back here as seasonal and one-time opportunities to volunteer become available. Current additional opportunities include:

Clothing Pantry Volunteer - help sort clothing donations that will end up on display in our Clothing Pantry. Guests can browse our clothing selections and receive items at no charge.

Clothing Pantry Donations- clothing donations, especially during the cold winter months, are especially critical to the homeless and vulnerable populations. Your donation could help someone stay warm with a winter jacket or arrive to a job interview with confidence in a shirt and tie.

We have updated our Donation Guidelines to create a safe and efficient way for you to donate goods to IPH. Please click here to view them.

Volunteer Spotlight

Thank you BPI Piping, BPI Mechanical and Upstate Piping for conducting a successful donation drive. Wow! We are blown away by your team’s efforts.

Collections like theirs including donations of hygiene products, bedding, kitchen utensils, and other household items prepare our shelter guests to transition into permanent housing.
